I feel like the reason the makers of the “Divergent” series are making “Ascendant” is because even though the last film wasn’t as big of a hit as they expected, they still want to try and get as many viewings and money as they can before the movie franchise leaves the big screen. One of the questions is, “How will the ending from the book ‘Allegiant’ happen in ‘Ascendant’?” Or the big one is, “Why are they even making a part two of ‘Allegiant’ when they pretty much ruined it, and why don’t they just name it ‘Allegiant - Part 2’ like all the other book-based movies?”
